    1. What is our cultural perception of domestic abuse, why people get abused and who is an abuser?
    - Why people get abused, in this case mother’s and wives, is because there’s violence in this world, and some people take it out on the ones they love. Some people have serious anger issues, others don’t. Many abusers, outside of their homes they are lovely people, nice and caring. Therefore, they are like wearing a mask 24/7, and wearing this mask can be difficult. So what do they do? They throw all their anxiety and problems at home, by hurting their wives or by abusing their children, and only they see the true colors of that person. This is an abuser , someone who has sufferings like any other human being , but that takes out this suffering or problems with violence on the neighbor , meaning a loved one , in this case family , spouse , siblings or children.
    2. Pick one quote from the article and analyze it. What does it mean? Does the word choice influence your opinion? How does it factor into the issue at hand?
    - “We can push these numbers even lower, but first we need people like Rice, the Ravens and those in the N.F.L to behave more honorably than they have in this case.”
    - This quote means that , we can talk all day long about how many people get abused , we can count how many percentages we want of how many women are abused in this country , but if we do not start doing something about this very serious and important issue , it will always be there and it will always stay the same.

    3. In our discussion of the topic, and of the "players" involved, there are several people or entities that might be identified as "wrong-doers". Discuss one of those wrong-doers and their involvement in the situation. How might their actions affect others and what could they have done differently? (You may NOT use Mr. Rice as an example as that would be too obvious.)
    - I think the “wrong-doers” in this situation are the N.F.L and the coach. Why? Because, they both tried to pass the situation as if it was okay, but not by justifying Rice. Instead the situation is more than not okay, it is domestic violence and no matter what a woman should not be hurt or treated like that. By the action of the coach, Rice can still play and at the same time he could still be abusing his wife, and that is not good.
    4. Make a prediction about how you think the Ray Rice saga will impact perceptions of domestic violence by sports fans.
    - I think many sport fans will think it is okay to abuse by this incident, especially if they support Rice. It could also bring the opposite effect on others, which is many might lose their Interest in Rice and the team , because of what he did.
